Dear Contestant,
dear Educational speaker,
here is some information on the rooms and technical equipment available.
All rooms will be equipped with a lectern and a flip chart with paper and pens.
At least a week in advance, please let us know in advance whether or not you will need a beamer and also whether or not you will need the conference team to supply a Laptop computer to present your slides - and if so, which software and version of the software you require. Please also note that we might not be able to provide a Laptop Computer.
During daytime on both Saturday and Sunday we will have the larger part of the Ballroom (=Ballroom 2) which will be used for the English-language contests as well as for several educational sessions.
The grand ballroom will have a 3*8m, 40 cm high stage, two cordless microphones (not sure yet if headset or clip-on-tie) and one microphone with cable as a backup.
Please note that the dance floor will be set up in between Stage and audience throughout the duration of the conference.
The smaller rooms will not have a stage (just a 'stage area' on the floor), nor will they be equipped with a microphone system.
Please note that German and French language contests will take place in the smaller rooms.
There will be time available to test the equipment for all contestants taking part in English language contests. This testing time is yet to be announced.
We can of course not foresee how big the audience will be in each room.
Please check the hotel website for info on the rooms, especially
