What I learned about success in Timbuktu, Kazakhstan and California..., and you can too without even going there...

How do you realize your dreams? That is what this presentation is all about. I have climbed mountains and new mountains over and over again; I committed myself to attaining my goals; I worked persistently to increase my chances of success; and pushed myself to places I had never been before. Many times I had to get very uncomfortable in order to get comfortable. These are my own real-life stories that illustrate some timeless principles that all successful people should know.

These are stories for those who dare to dream, and need the courage to get into the game. It is motivational, inspirational and a bit of fun. Among my points:

• Dreams can be deceptive. Everyone dreams; few act. A dream without a plan of action is not more than wishful thinking.
• Commitment is the key. Everyone has the will to win. But only few have the will to prepare to win. Preparation is often boring, but always necessary.
• Are you letting obstacles hold you back? Examine the obstacles that keep you from accomplishing your goals. Confront them.
• Sometimes things do not turn out as you planned. Occasionally, even though you do everything right, you still fail. Then what?
